Our Vision, Mission & Values
Our MISSION
We are courageously following Jesus in the world as a family.
Our VISION
To be a people who love to be with Jesus, seek to become like him, and provide places to welcome and invite everyone to follow Him as Lord and Savior.
Our VALUES
These are the biblical concepts and behaviors we want to shape our church culture.
The Bible explains that a disciple is a person who desires to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did. To follow Jesus in this way is to be a Christian. Making disciples is the core "family business" of Cody Alliance. As such, we are committed to:
• responding to God in grateful, loving obedience
• becoming responsible in all our roles, goals, and relationships
• welcoming lost people into our family in the Spirit of Jesus
We believe gathering together weekly to worship Jesus by singing, praying, and responding to life-related Bible teaching will bring glory to Him and catalyze health and unity in our church. Sunday Worship is like our weekly family meal together.
We know lost people matter to God. He welcomed all of us at an immeasurable cost. Following Jesus' model, we too joyfully sacrifice to welcome others here in Cody, across the region, and through specific global partnerships.
We value developing leaders relationally like Jesus did. It's how we raise up people to influence, lead, and teach to advance our Vision.
We know that life transformation (discipleship) happens best in vulnerable, safe, caring, and accountable relationships where disciple-making truths get incorporated as personal practices that impact individual and family health and our whole church family.
We welcome and serve the needs of others as a tangible expression of our love for God. It's why we prioritize and steward our time, talents, skills, and gifts for the good of others.
The Bible informs us that financial generosity to my local church is an expression of a healthy soul. It communicates to God that I am a committed disciple of Jesus and submitted to His agenda for my church. We practice joyfully giving from all God has entrusted to us to fuel the Vision He has given us.
